New Years' Bal 2003
On Tuesday night January 7th, a workshop in Morris dancing was organised
for the children groups. The night was hosted by Morris group Maids
of the Mill from Utrecht. A demonstration was given, a song was thought,
music was made and there was a story about the Twelfth day and a bun
cake with a bean hidden in it. The children all received a costume
to wear with friendship cloths on them, which the children brought
themselves. During the new years' bal that followed the children's
event, Maids of the Mill performed some other dances, which made the
rest of the evening a good start of the new year.
